Airbnb Default Daily Pricing
What Is the Default Daily Price?
The Default Daily Price (DDPP) is the base rate that appears as a “teaser” price on Airbnb’s search results and calendar view. It helps attract attention to your listing but doesn’t always reflect the final price a guest will pay.
💡 For Clients Using Length of Stay Pricing (most clients):
The DDP is displayed on the Airbnb calendar and search page.
However, it is not used to calculate quotes or actual reservation prices.
Boost automatically calculates the DDP for LOS clients.
You can leave the DDP field blank unless Airbnb flags your Pet Fee as too high (Airbnb requires pet fees to be lower than the DDP).
If needed, you can manually adjust the DDP in Boost to resolve this.
🏠 For New Listings (never on Airbnb before, connected via Boost):
The DDP will be used as the teaser price.
It must be higher than the Pet Fee to avoid Airbnb errors.
🔁 For Listings Previously Managed on Airbnb:
If the listing had calendar rates or a DDP set before connecting to Boost:
Airbnb will show those rates as the teaser price.
LOS pricing is only available via API connection.
🔧 How to Override the Airbnb Calendar Rate:
Select the listing(s) in Boost.
Run the “Set Daily Price to Default” action.
Then run Import/Sync to update Airbnb.
📊 How Boost Calculates the DDP:
Boost uses a function called “get lowest price” that works with the LOS pricing algorithm. It typically selects the lowest available nightly rate over the next year (excluding unavailable dates).
🧮 For Clients on Standard Pricing:
The DDP is ignored.
Airbnb calculates the teaser price as the average of the next 7 available nights.
