Showing a Property Category on Homepage Quick Search

Did you know you can show a Property Category on your Cloud/Essential homepage quick search?

For example in addition to travel dates and guests, you can add a category from your search such as Featured Amenities, or Location, or Property Type.

This can be a very helpful feature for guests if your properties cover a large geographic area or you want guest to be able to select a critical amenity like pet friendly from the homepage.

How to add a Property Category to your homepage quick search.

Step 1.

First, determine what Property Category would be helpful to guests from the Quick Search. Go to your Admin and in Settings, select Property Categories. There, at the top of the screen are four categories you can choose from. If you have a category called Destinations for example, and amenity within that category that is toggled on for search will be shown. Any category not toggled on will not show on the quick search.

Step 2.

Now navigate to Property Search in Settings. Scroll down to Homepage Quick Search - Category filter. Choose the category you want to display on your homepage quick search. Save the settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 3.

Go to your website homepage and refresh your browser. You should now see your Property Category on your homepage quick search.
