Q: What is Basecamp, and how is it related to Bluetent and our website?
A: Basecamp is our project management and collaboration platform. It serves as a central hub for project to-do lists, document sharing, timelines, and communication throughout your website migration. Rather than managing everything through email, we’ll use Basecamp to keep all project information organized and easily accessible in one place.
Q: What exactly is being migrated, and why is this migration taking place?
A: Your entire website will be migrated to our current website platform. This includes your pages, content, images, SEO metadata (such as page titles and meta descriptions), and overall site structure. Your Escapia integration will remain unchanged and will continue functioning as it does today.
This migration is part of our ongoing platform improvements, allowing us to support your website on our latest technology. This ensures you have access to current features, improved performance, ongoing enhancements, and long-term support.
Q: What are the benefits of this migration for our website and business?
A: Migrating to our current platform provides a more modern and maintainable foundation for your website. It allows your site to benefit from future platform enhancements, ongoing security and performance improvements, and a more streamlined support experience. While the overall look and functionality of your website will remain familiar, it will be built on technology that is actively maintained and enhanced.
Q: Is participation in this migration mandatory, or do we have a choice in whether it proceeds?
A: We are migrating all clients to our current platform as part of our long-term product strategy. While we can work with you on scheduling and timing to minimize disruption, the migration itself is a standard initiative for all websites on the legacy platform.

Q: Will my site look the same as before?
A: It will look similar, but have a more modern design. The new platform that has a core design for the site's content. It will also provide streamlined tools for easier implementation for our clients and our internal teams.
Q: Do I need to do anything to prepare for migration?
A: If we do not have DNS access to your site, we will be reaching out to collect this from you prior to migration.

Q: What video file types are support on the new platform?
A: We will support the following video formats: Matterport, YouTube, and Vimeo videos. Additionally you could upload a MP4 or mov file type.

A: Escapia, VRM, Streamline, Track, RNS, RealTimeRentals, IQWare, Barefoot, Vacasa
Q: When will my website be migrated to the new platform?
A: Bluetent Essential & Cloud clients will be starting migrations July 2026. We will reach out in the weeks prior to let you know when your site will be migrated. As part of the process, we’ll provide a development website for you to review and provide feedback to our team. To be clear, this is a site migration, not a brand new site. Content updates and requests will be handled post Go Live.
Q: Is there training on how to use the new platform?
A: Yes, we will be providing group training sessions, as well as 1:1 training by request.
Q: How do I log into my new website?
A: Instructions will be provided post Go Live after your site has been migrated to the new website platform.
