Urgency Marketing
This is a step-by-step guide on how to enable and configure Urgency Marketing in the Dashboard of your Cloud Website.
Overview
Urgency Marketing is a tool that will allow you to advertise available units in a way that encourages immediate guest response. The message shows at the top of the search results.
To create this sense of urgency, Urgency Marketing uses the availability of your current inventory, in conjunction with a guest’s search on your website and delivers a message you can customize, such as “Don’t wait! Only 5% of properties are available.”

How to Enable and Configure Urgency Marketing
While signed-in to your Cloud Website, locate Urgency Marketing in the Property Manager section of your Dashboard
Enable Urgency Marketing - In the Urgency Marketing settings page, Enable Urgency Marketing
Global Search Threshold Type - You have two options in the drop-down list:
Percent Basis - Urgency message will be triggered based on a set percentage of results returned in a guest’s search.
Flat Result Count Basis - Urgency message will be triggered based on a flat number of units returned in a guest’s search.
Global Search Threshold - Depending on the Threshold Type selected above, you will either be able to select a percentage or enter a number of available units as the Threshold (value your choose to trigger when the Urgency Marketing message will appear on search results page)
If using a Percent Basis threshold type, a drop-down list will be available - Select a percentage value
If using the Flat Result Count Basis threshold type, a text field will be available - Enter a whole number
Global Search Messaging - Enter a custom message that will appear on the search results page when the Global Search Threshold is met. This message works by using your customized message along with a token. The token is entered in your custom message in place of the number of units or the percentage you want to appear in the message. For example - If you wanted your custom message to read: “Don’t wait! Only 5% of properties are available” you would enter:
The token is dynamic. In the example above, the token will insert the calculated % of units available.
Another example, using a Flat Result Count Basis you may want your message to say - “Hurry! Only 10 properties are available for your stay dates” Replace the number 10 with the token: @total_avail
6. Save Configuration
Pro Tip: Multiple tokens can be used in one Global Search Message.
Example:
Only @total_avail out of @grand_total properties are still available for this date range! will produce an Urgency Marketing message similar to: “Only 10 out of 50 properties are still available for this date range!”
