Vrbo Custom Cancellation Policy Available in Boost
Vrbo's Custom cancellation policy is coming soon to Boost! Starting later this month, you'll have the option to create custom cancellation terms, including a cancellation fee and refund amounts based on the timing of the cancellation. Custom cancellation policies are useful if you have terms in your rental agreement that are outside of the 5 standard VRBO cancellation policies. This highly requested feature will provide greater flexibility for hosts and more options for guests. Learn more below
How it works:
The Vrbo Custom Cancelation policy will be configurable in both the Channel Settings page & on individual listings in Boost.
Includes an option to add a custom cancellation fee (flat). This is not required, just leave it blank if you don’t want to charge a flat fee.
Specify up to 3 intervals - measured in days before check in - and designate what % of the reservation guest will be refunded at each interval.
Other Notes:
Make sure the policies (intervals) make sense together and are ordered properly. For example, do not create policies where more is refunded if the traveler cancels 30 days versus 60 days before check-in.
Example:
50% refund up to 60 days before check-in
100% refund up to 30 days before check-in
Do not specify a 0% refund.
