Changing the data source on fields
Instructions on how to determine the source for data in Boost and how to change it.
Overview
The data fields attached to properties have multiple options for the data source.
PMS Value - the value is coming from your PMS
Channel Settings - the value is configured in the Boost Channel Settings page for that OTA.
Listing Settings - the value is configured in the Boost Listing Settings page for that OTA.
COMMON ISSUE
Issue: My listing summary and descriptions aren’t updating! If you are noticing fields that you have changed in your PMS but are not updating on your live listing, you may have a listing level override set in Boost that is overriding the value you are sending from your PMS.
Steps to Resolve: Change the source of that field back to your PMS.
Checking the data source of fields
From the Boost Listings Page, click on the name of the listing you are interested in.
This will bring you to the Listing Settings Page for that specific listing.
Refer to the Source column to see the source of the value/setting that we are sending to the OTA.
Here are the Options: (Example is using Streamline but would show your PMS)
Changing the data source to PMS in Bulk
From the Boost Listings Page click the box next to all listings you would like to Edit.
Click on Bulk Edit
Go to the desired Category tab (Content, Policies, Pricing, or Availability) and then scroll to the specific setting that you would like to revert back to the PMS Value.
Toggle on the Override toggle and leave the Field blank (or if it is a dropdown, do not make a selection). Note: You will see a message Removing Current Configuration.
Click Next and then Finish
To confirm that you have successfully reverted to the PMS Value, just navigate back to the Listing Settings page for one of those listings and check the Source for that setting/value.
